Gary Mills phoned me towards the end of June to advise that he was writing a book on his life in football and asked if I would contribute a forward to the section on Gateshead FC, to which I readily agreed.<\/h2>\n

The book is now complete and Gary has kindly sent me an advance copy. I can truly say that it\u2019s an excellent read in which he makes clear just how much he loved his time at the Heed – in fact, he\u2019s headed the chapter \u201cIncredible Gateshead\u201d.<\/p>\n

As part of the book launch programme, Gary is conducting a series of \u201ctalk-ins\u201d throughout the places his career has taken him and the local event will take place at the Holly Hill Sports and Social Club, Felling on the afternoon of Sunday, 31st<\/sup> October \u2013 1:30pm to 4:30pm.<\/p>\n

Gary is bringing a guest speaker and no doubt the Heed\u2019s \u201cWembley team\u201d will be well represented. Matthew Raisbeck will be acting as presenter for what will no doubt be an afternoon to remember.<\/p>\n

The entry price of \u00a325 includes a copy of Gary\u2019s book \u201cYoung Millsy\u201d, which no doubt he\u2019ll be happy to sign. Food will also be provided.<\/p>\n

Tickets can be purchased at the club\u2019s online shop here<\/a>, or on the concourse at this Saturday’s game against Brackley Town.<\/p>\n

Tickets are limited to 100, of which more than half are already spoken for.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s make it a Heed Army sell-out and show our appreciation to Gary for providing the club with its most successful period in the last sixty years.<\/p>\n
