Gateshead Football Club is pleased to confirm the appointment of James Rushmore as Communications & Marketing Development Officer.<\/span><\/h1>\n

James will play a key role in the club\u2019s marketing strategy and will work closely with the Commercial Manager in order to maximise future sponsorship and hospitality opportunities, in addition to assisting the Media Manager with the club\u2019s online and print output.<\/p>\n

He will also contribute to the club\u2019s overall growth by strengthening pre-existing and new relationships with local and national partners.<\/p>\n

James has been involved with the club as a volunteer since September 2019, acting as club videographer and media assistant covering both the first team and ladies\u2019 team over the last two seasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s a fantastic opportunity and I appreciate everyone at the club for showing faith in me,\u201d said James.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a good two seasons working with the club in a different capacity but coming in on a full-time basis will allow me to bring forward my own ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a lot of potential here at Gateshead and it\u2019s now about making that a reality, so I\u2019m pleased that I can turn my voluntary role into a more permanent fixture to allow me to dedicate more time and effort to the role.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re delighted to be able to welcome James to the team in an official capacity,\u201d added Chairman Neil Pinkerton.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis appointment reflects the long term vision of the board and he will play a key role in helping the club to achieve our aims.\u201d<\/p>\n
